Farmers of the state will be provided electricity during the day under Kisan Sarvodaya Yojana

There has been a demand for electricity on farmers' day for the last several days. Satisfying this demand, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has decided to provide electricity to farmers during the day under Kisan Sarvodaya Yojana, said Energy Minister Saurabh Patel. He further said that in the initial phase, 1055 villages in Dahod, Junagadh and Gir-Somnath would be provided electricity during the day. After that, every farmer in Gujarat will get electricity in phases.


Energy Minister Saurabh Patel said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would launch the Kisan Sarvodaya Yojana on October 24 from virtually Junagadh. The scheme will cover 17.25 lakh farmers in the state. The energy minister further said that in order to provide agricultural power supply to farmers during the day, Rs. 11 new 220 K at a cost of Rs 420 crore. V. Substation, Rs. 244.94 crore at a cost of 254 new 220/132 / 66K. V. The line will be erected. The primary phase covers 1055 villages in Dahod, Junagadh and Gir Somnath districts.



Electricity will be available between 5 in the morning and 9 at night


There are currently 153 groups in the state, half of which are supplied with electricity during the day and half at night. Under this scheme, electricity will be available from 5 am to 9 pm.



Currently the government is providing 6000 to 6500 mega watts of electricity. Which will provide 11000 mega watts of electricity in the near future. For which 220 KV substation will be constructed now. In the next 2 years, all the farmers of the state will get the benefit of this scheme. Dahod district will be included in the first phase. 692 villages will be benefited.


Solar power is only available during the day. With the increase in solar power generation capacity in the near future, the availability of power will increase day by day. The power supply is being provided by agricultural feeders of more than 200 11 kV by dividing them into 14 groups. These groups are provided maximum power supply for 3 hours in 3 hours and 3 hours single phase power supply. Each group is supplied with power during the day for a week, during the night hours for the following week, and for the next two weeks, during the part-day and part-night hours. Is. For the last several years there has been a proposal from him to give power to the day which has been completed today.


  He added that if the night power supply in agriculture is provided during the day then the solar power which is available only during the day period can be given to the farmers which can solve the problem faced by the farmers then the Gujarat government has adopted an innovative approach. It has been announced to implement Kisan Suryodaya Yojana to alleviate the problems of the farmers. The state government has decided to complete the challenging task of providing electricity to the farmers in three years. A provision of Rs.500 crore has been made in the budget for 2020-21 for the next three years to build the necessary infrastructure network for this.




  He added that in order to provide agricultural power supply to the farmers during the day, in the near future at a cost of Rs. V. Substation at a cost of Rs. 4.5 crore ૨૫૪ New 20/12/2 K. V. The line will be erected.

  "Initially, 108 villages in Dahod, Junagadh and Gir Somnath districts have been covered and we plan to gradually cover all the farmers in the state under this scheme and provide electricity on a daily basis," he added.
