60 billion was invested in the gas infrastructure sector

So far, 60 billion has been invested in the gas infrastructure sector. Which is Rs. 4 lakh crore. Torrent Gas has set up 42 CNG stations in various states to make the quantity of compressed natural gas (CNG) available across the country.


Unveiling all the city gas distribution stations by video conference from Delhi, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that besides 14 stations in Uttar Pradesh, eight in Maharashtra and six in Gujarat, four stations have been set up in Punjab and one each in Telangana and Rajasthan. With the completion of these 42 CNG stations, Torrent Gas has commissioned 100 CNG stations. The network will be launched in 32 districts in 7 states and 1 union territory.


Torrent will invest Rs 8000 crore for CGD structure

Torrent Gas will spend Rs. Will invest a total of Rs 8,000 crore. Out of which Rs. 1,050 has been invested. Torrent Gas is capable of installing 100 CNG stations in a relatively short period of time, even amid the controls raised by the Covid-19 epidemic. "Currently, we are working towards achieving the near target of setting up 200 CNG stations by March, 2021 and 500 CNG stations by March, 2023," said Jinal Mehta.

The current number of CNG stations in the country is targeted to increase from an estimated 3,000 to 10,000 in the next 4 to 5 years.
