That assistance will be given to 45 thousand farmers. Gujarat farmers will get a brand new scheme of Rs 15 crore from this time to set up and add value to 3 clusters of FGO based infrastructure in three districts namely Banaskantha, Jamnagar, Kutch to prevent damage after harvesting of fruits and vegetables. Umbrellas worth Rs 7.5 crore are planned to be provided on purchase fruit and vegetable lorries.
BJP leaders plan to have umbrellas on 75,000 lorries. The government has to spend Rs 2.92 crore for growing vegetables in the backyard and packing cans. In addition, if a farmer buys a vehicle, the government has to spend Rs 30 crore for it. In addition, another new scheme will be launched by the Department of Agriculture to provide financial assistance to the Center of Excellence for Agricultural Technology from this year.
