Do natural farming, one cow earns Rs. 900 will get maintenance costs

In order to double the income of the farmers of the state and to enable the farmers to engage in full natural farming based on indigenous cows, the sensitive Chief Minister of the state Vijaybhai Rupani has taken an important decision to provide assistance of Rs.500 / - per month for indigenous cow based farmers. In response to Prime Minister Narendra Bhai Modi's call for doubling the income of farmers, the state government has launched a number of innovative programs, schemes and campaigns for farmers, among which the state government has focused on promoting natural agriculture. 

This important decision has been taken as per the resolution announced by the Department of Agricultural Farmers Welfare and Co-operation for effective agricultural management for farmers, reduction in uncertainty of agricultural production, reduction in agricultural costs. As a result of this decision taken by the state government, the scheme will provide financial assistance to the farmers to revive the state economy in the adverse economic situation arising out of the COVID-12 epidemic through a scheme to provide subsistence cost to a farming family based on fully natural farming based on indigenous cows. 

Rs.900 / - per month per cow, maximum assistance of Rs.10,800 / - per annum.

Quarterly assistance amounting to Rs.500 / - per month for sanctioned maintenance expenses will be credited to RTGS / DBT in the beneficiary's bank account from RTGS / DBT from the date of approval of the application in the available period of that quarter April to June quarterly maintenance cost in July, July to September Expenses In October, quarterly maintenance expenses from October to December will be paid in January and quarterly maintenance expenses from January to March will be paid in April. From the date of approval of the application for the available period of that quarter Rs. Maintenance expenses will be paid at the rate of 500 / -. The state government plans to cover all the farmers in the state.

 Who can avail this assistance? 


The farmer wishing to avail the benefit of the scheme should be eligible for the beneficiary, the applicant farmer should have a native cow with identification tag at the time of application and should be doing natural farming with its dung urine or the benefit would be available after doing natural farming. Farmers who are currently engaged in natural agriculture and master trainers prepared after training in natural agriculture will be given priority in the approval if they meet the eligibility criteria. 

The benefit of this scheme will be available to the farmers who have fully natural farming based on native cows in all the lands occupied by the farmers who have native cows (except foreign cows like Jersey and HF) in which calves will not be considered as cows. Under this scheme, one beneficiary per account will be eligible for assistance. The applicant farmer should have received training from master trainers of natural agriculture or natural agriculture. Farmers interested in launching the "I Farmer" portal for online application will have to submit their application online to the Project Director, Atman on the "I Farmer" portal. Online application can be made at village level through e-gram center or wherever computer-internet facility is available. In addition, if the applicant submits the physical application to the concerned office, the office will have to submit the application on the portal till the portal is open within the time limit.

After applying online, the applicant should get a printout of the application and sign / thumb print it.
