New Delhi: The Aarogya Setu app, designed to control the spread of coronavirus, is yet another achievement. Health Bridge has become the most downloaded contact-tracing app in the world.


According to a recent study by Sensor Tower Store Intelligence, 173 million people in 13 countries have downloaded various Covid-19 contact tracing apps since March 2020 and India's Health Bridge app tops the list with 127.6 million downloads.



The government of India launched the Corona Virus (COVID-19) tracker app Aarogya Setu on April 2. Within just three days this app has been downloaded more than 100 million times. The government app uses Bluetooth and location tracker to track your interactions with someone. Because of this you stay alert. The app has been launched by the government for Android and iOS users. Sharing the information from his Twitter handle, Program Director of the Niti Aayog said that the app has been downloaded more than 8 million times in just three days. This figure is a combination of both Android and iOS.



The Health Bridge app was launched on April 2nd. the amount of downloads to the present app has crossed 12 crore in 2 months. it's thus become one among the foremost downloaded health apps in India. the govt recently made the app open source for Android users. during a short time since then, the app has crossed the 12 million download mark. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also mentioned it within the PMO's tweet. The PM said in his tweet, “I am confident, you'll have heard about the health bridge. 12 crore health conscious people have downloaded it. it's helped tons within the fight against Corona virus.

5 crore users joined in 13 days::

The Health Bridge app has added 50 million new users in only 13 days. the govt has made this app mandatory in many areas. Many offices, railways and aviation have made it mandatory to possess this app.


This is the way to use the Health Bridge app::

First of all you've got to download this app from Play Store and install it within the phone. If you open the Health Bridge app for the primary time after installing it, you'll need to give some permissions. This app allows you to know if you're safe or in danger of transition using mobile number, Bluetooth and site data. you'll got to register a mobile number after giving access to Bluetooth and GPS to use the Health Bridge app. you'll be ready to verify yourself with the assistance of OTP coming to the present number.

Alerts you to Health Bridge::

Based on your location details and social graph, the Health Bridge app will tell you whether you're within the low-risk or high-risk category. The app also will advise you to go to a test center that alerts you if you're at high risk.

First download or install the Aarogya Setu App through the Google Play Store or iOS App Store.
Then go to the App Information page and tap on Register Now.

After Health Bridge, Turkey's Hayat  app is second with 11.1 million downloads and Germany's Corona-Warn-App is third with 10.4 million downloads. The research was conducted on a government-supported contact tracing app in 13 countries with a population of 20 million or more. India was joined by Australia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Parish, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam.


A total of 173 billion people in e13 countries with a combined population of about 13 billion people downloaded government-supported contact tracing apps. Australia's COVIDSafe app has the highest adoption rate with a population of 4.5 million unique installs. In terms of adoption rate, India ranks fourth with 12.5 per cent. India's Health Bridge app download speed picked up in April, with an estimated 80.8 million downloads from the App Store and Google Play Store.


Baj referred to the application in the Prime Minister's address on April 14, downloading the application 1 million times every minute during that period on Tuesday morning, and by midnight, the application has been downloaded a total of 5 million times. According to Arnab Kumar, 5 million downloads were expected on April 15 but 1 day. That target has already been reached. On April 14, the application was downloaded 1.1 million times
