FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS RELATING TO CLASS XII AND X BOARD EXAMS – 2020
CBSE has decided to relieve the anxiety of examinations due to lockdown. There will no longer be standard board exams in 10th and 12th of different subjects, including vocational. This decision has been taken by CBSE due to lockdown. A guideline has also been announced by the board for the examination of students in grades 1 through 9 and 11 except for tenth and twelfth. The decision has given relief to 31 lakh students.Children and their parents were worried about the results of these exams. CBSE said that in view of the worsening conditions due to coronavirus, major decisions have been taken from the Ministry of Human Resource Development on the 10th and 12th standard examinations.
Only the main subjects will be taken in the 12th standard
The students of the 10th board will no longer be examining the remaining subjects. An examination of their main subjects was held. Only a few vocational topics were left. Some of the subjects of the 12 board students were still pending. Among them will be examinations of the main topics that students need for example in higher institutions. CBSE PRO Satish Kumar said that the center will be notified 10 days before the board examinations of the surviving subjects are scheduled.
Similarly, a notification will be sent three to four days in advance to resume the assessment pending. There are many topics left over in the 12th Board of Arts and Commerce. Most of the science exams have been done. Students who will be involved in the 12th main subject examination include Business Studies, Geography, Hindi (Elective Core), Home Science, Sociology, Computer Science (Old). Other than that, there will be no examination of the remaining vocational and other subjects.
With regard to rescheduling board examinations for classes 10 and 12, it is informed that at this stage it is difficult for the Board to decide and announce the new schedule for examinations.
However, it is informed that any decision that the board will take with regard to the conduct of examinations will be taken by undertaking extensive consultation with higher education authorities and by keeping all aspects related to entrance exams, admissions dates, etc. in mind. In this context, it is further informed that the Board will give notice of about 10 days to all stakeholders before starting the Board examinations.
Students in other classes will be passed
The CBSE calls for the promotion of children from standard one to eight to the next class. Apart from this, in the 9th and 11th schools in which the exam result is not released, the next class will be promoted in 10th and 12th grade on the basis of school assessment, project work, periodic tests, term exams etc. Children who fail in one or more subjects in 9th or 11th grade will be given an online test and will be promoted accordingly.READ DETAIL NEWS REPORT IN GUJARATI
